In marketing there is a saying which goes,“you have five seconds to capture your audience’s attention”, style is usually a depiction of your personality, asides from your face, it is what people see when they first look at you.

In today’s world, there is such a diverse range of styles, people are breaking boundaries and are refusing to conform to previous set rules, it’s really a free for all situation as there is a certain desperation if I might say, to have the world see the real you, it’s a process in owning your truth.

Needless to say, in my opinion, there is always a “box” even when it seems that there is not, here are a few tips to owning your style and ensuring that you always look fab.

Style Tip 1:

You can never go wrong with staples such as “the little black dress”, a nice pair of jeans, a classic blazer, simple shirts and button downs.

Mixing and matching these with the occasional dash of “personality” goes a long way in when projecting yourself.

Style Tip 2:

Make sure your clothes fit perfectly.

Tailored clothing not only looks polished, but also feels more comfortable(All Yutee Rone outfits are made with this in mind, combining both the benefits of commercially made outfits in that it is readily available and tailored expertly to fit and feel stylish and comfortable).

Style Tip 3:

Don’t be afraid to switch it up but do it with Balance.

Balancing your fits is key. You should wear outfits that compliment your body type. If you like oversized or really tight fits, you can do this by pairing with pieces and accessories to counteract so there is an overall aesthetic harmony with the whole look.

Style Tip 4:

Find your style.

Finding and establishing your personal style can take years, experiment with different stuff till you find what feels good. You look good when you feel good and I am a firm believer that our clothes like pictures speak a thousand words about our personality. Just like the journey to self discovery, finding your personal style can take years, have fun with it, think of it as an experiment; you never know what amazing looks await you until you’re in the dressing room. The categories “menswear” and “womenswear” shouldn’t dictate how you shop. Take time to play with colors and shapes to find what looks great on your unique body. Yutee Rone pieces are diverse and range from dresses fully embracing femininity to two pieces and outfits infusing masculine styles to produce an array of stylish, classy and diverse offerings.

Style Tip 5:

Accessorize!

Adding a belt, a scarf, or like with some Yutee pieces, wearing a fit with lots of buttons is one of the easiest ways to make any outfit look more put-together and make you stand out. It’s also a great trick for bringing balance to a look that otherwise might not work.

Style Tip 6:

Play with color, patterns and textures.

Start small, you can start with one colorful piece while keeping the rest neutral, as you get more comfortable with colors, you’ll learn which color combinations work best for your style. The days of matching your handbag to your shoes are over. Clashing textures and prints make a bold fashion statement. Start small with neutral patterns like stripes and low-key textures like leather and knits, adding in sequins and frills until you learn what works for you. At Yutee Rone Atelier we are not afraid to play with colours, patterns and textures, start from a few pieces to mix and match and spice up your look.
